Description
The Map of Life (MOL) and the Half-Earth Project Map (HEPM) are global resources addressing the geographic distributions of species and their change. They address local to national monitoring and planning needs and can deliver actionable species-specific biodiversity insights. For areas of interest worldwide, the dashboards of MOL and the HEPM provide an accessible and flexible interface for anyone to access this species data, along with three component indicators under the GBF: the Species Protection Index (SPI - Target 3), the Species Information Index (SII - Target 21), and the Species Habitat Index (SHI - Goal A).

This session will explore the existing implementation, tools, and data available on the MOL and HEPM. Through several hands-on examples and use cases, attendees will explore how to use the platforms and our additional data offerings for assessment, reporting, and decision-support at local, regional, national, and global scales.
