Description: On Tuesday July 16, 2024 at 7:30pm-8:30pm EDT (23:30-00:30 UTC) the Accessibility NYC Meetup (A11yNYC) hosts a meetup ‘Mobile Accessibility Tools: Camera Switches and More‘. The presentation will focus on specific interesting and potentially very useful accessibility options on the Android and iOS platforms. These include Facial Gesture Recognition, Accessibility Scanner, and more. New York Times Games engineer Shafik Quoraishee will highlight the use of hardware switches, specifically camera switches, on mobile devices. This technology goes beyond just Talkbalk and provides a powerful and potentially untapped capability to those who need it and are using mobile devices.

The meetup will be webcast live via a partnership with the Internet Society New York Accessibility SIG.
